One of the biggest decisions we made last year was to exhibit in the Summer Fancy Food Show 2015. That definitely was not one goal easily done. In order to gain membership and access to exhibit we had to be actively selling in the US market, our products had to meet the stringent standards to be called a ‘Specialty Food’, we had to have referees who loved them; above all, all these had to be done in under 6 months- 6 of our most busiest months to date. So far end of 2014 saw us pull in more than weeks of all nighters to meet production and delivery deadlines while we steadily worked through our Fancy food Show preparations. But, boy, did it pay out or what?
We had three of our best days - packed with writing orders, meeting key buyers, industry experts international distributors and more. Some of the biggest names of the Industry came by to check us out; and as any entrepreneur would tell you, those moments are pure gold. It was amazing to receive glowing feedback from buyers who deal with some of the finest chocolate in the world on an everyday basis. They were impressed by our packaging, all the more sweet to us as all our packaging are completely designed by us – absolutely no designers, branding experts of professionals; just us and our ideas and long hours. All three days we were constantly appreciated for what we were told were the best booth display in the show. All nighters pulled in to designing those banners and hunting our displays had finally paid out. In short we had the best time in our four year journey.
Now we are back rejuvenated and ready to face the season ahead. As the first step we will be re-opening the boutique to public. The classes are going to come back and there is going to be some exciting things going on in store. So stand by and watch this space as we take our best foot front yet again..
